Premier Modular Supports Local Families in Need this Christmas

As part of our commitment to supporting local communities, Premier Modular is proud to help the charity, Real Aid again this Christmas.

Colleagues from across the business have donated more than 80 boxes of food which will be distributed by Real Aid to families in need across the East Riding of Yorkshire.

Real Aid was set up in 2001 to help local people in difficulty. Unlike many charities, it does not receive any Government or outside funding, and instead relies on income generated from its charity shops and donations.

Annelee Roscoe, Human Resources Manager at Premier Modular, said, “The Premier Modular team has really risen to the challenge this year and has donated many items – from pasta and tins to special treats for children to enjoy this Christmas.”

“We have worked closely with Real Aid for several years and given the turmoil caused by the pandemic and its severe impact on so many people, we felt it was crucial we pulled together again to help as many families and individuals as possible.”

“Many of our staff continue to work remotely but have still given generously, donating food or money for supplies, or have given up their time for packing the boxes. The local Aldi also gave their assistance with arranging the food supplies and kindly donated some Christmas puddings. It has been a fantastic team effort and we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved.”

Lindsay Killick, Senior Manager at Real Aid, said, “The donation of the food boxes from the Premier Modular team is greatly appreciated and will make a big difference to those families who most need support in our community. “

“We have seen a staggering 50 per cent increase in demand for food banks this year. The demand is so great, we are preparing to open another food bank earlier next year to enable us to support more families who are experiencing hardship. We are always grateful for the support of local businesses like Premier. By working together, the charity can expand its range of help and continue its good work. Many thanks to everyone who has made this possible.”
