One Nine Elms - Multiplex
Due to their long track record of skilled project management and experience in city centre locations, Premier Modular Limited was appointed by Multiplex to supply a five storey building comprising one hundred and thirty 9.6m Bays to be used as office / welfare accommodation whilst they re-develop the Nine Elms area of London.
One Nine Elms is a £673m development of a 56 storey City Tower, a separate 42 storey River Tower and a 173 room luxury Wanda Vista Hotel that will occupy the lower floors of the River Tower up to the 18th floor.
The project will culminate in two landmark residential towers – the tallest residential towers in Europe – linked together with a glazed bridge that will provide access to City Tower facilities.
A brand new five star hotel will include a luxury spa, ballroom, club house restaurant and karaoke bar above the hotel room floors. On completion, the development will provide in excess of 730,000 sq ft of residential apartments, 267,000 sq ft of hotel accommodation and 1,000 sq ft of retail outlets. A large residential lounge and sky garden will be located on level 50 offering panoramic views of London across the River Thames. Upon completion, anticipated to be in 2021, One Nine Elms will become one of the tallest residential developments in London and the United Kingdom.
With significant programme pressure, Multiplex had comfort that their selected partner, Premier, had both capacity and capability to meet the very tight deadlines. With the majority of work carried out at Premier’s East Yorkshire factories, the building was erected on site within one week, causing minimum disruption to the ongoing development and surrounding area.
This project allowed Premier to again demonstrate their full company capabilities, delivering a high volume of modules to a very high quality, on a complex site within incredibly tight timeframes.
