Reports To: Operations Director
Purpose:
To plan, manage and deliver multiple projects from cradle to grave.
Experience, Qualifications & Training:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Sound numeracy and literacy skills
- Exceptional organisational skills
- PC literate
- Strong industry background with a working knowledge of modular build
- Proven experience of current HSE site legislation
- Experience in a similar role essential
- Black CSCS card
- HNC/D diploma in construction and built environment minimum preferred.
Principle accountabilities:
Post order and Pre – Construction phase
- Update programme to consider changes necessitated by agreements made in the post tender negotiations and latest construction drawing
- Prepare construction phase HSE plans/RAMS
- Prepare site layout to determine – access and egress points, site accommodation, storage, crane locations, temporary services
- Pre start meetings with client/main contractor
- Liase with commercial QS, trades that are sublet and prepare procurement schedule of key materials
- Prepare site build sequence and advise of factory delivery sequence
- Liase with factory to review the progress of the factory build element
Construction phase
- Ensure project is on programme with adequate resource levels to achieve future programme dates
- Management of variations to programme and price
- Client satisfaction at product and management
- Site housekeeping is acceptable
- Uphold the discipline of site safety and recording of accidents
- Ensure post-delivery quality inspection is carried out and reported back to factory
- Attend progress review meetings with clients
- Arrange pre-handover inspections by client/main contractor
- Ensure testing and commissioning of services completed prior to handover
- Ensure timely response and communication to client, sub-contractor and inter-company correspondence
- Ensure the keeping of adequate records on items that cause delay, disruption and other costs to the business
- Ensure hired pant if off hired immediately when no longer required
- Maximise client variation cost recovery without jeopardising client relationships.
Completion of works
- Ensure that all records kept on site and required for final accounts are returned to the commercial department
- Ensure the site set up is cleared and all equipment’s if off hired
- Ensure all site HSE records are completed and up to date
- Ensure the practical completion certificate is signed by the client and returned to the commercial department
