The Brief

Revitalising the Heart of the Town Centre

The town of Shirebrook, in Derbyshire, has undergone a major transformation as part of Bolsover District Council’s wider regeneration initiative. The council committed to delivering the new Shirebrook Pavillion, situated at the heart of the town centre, to revitalise the high street, market place, and create a valuable community asset.

We were appointed by Dragonfly Developments, the council’s development arm, to deliver the pavilion using a modular construction approach. This method provided the speed, programme certainty, and reduced disruption essential for a live, busy town‑centre environment. Modular construction offered a modern and efficient solution that aligned with the project’s timelines while ensuring the market square remained active, accessible, and minimally disrupted throughout the works.
