BRIEF

As the main contractors of the prestigious redevelopment around Wembley Stadium, John Sisk needed a high-quality office and welfare facility for their workforce. With 1,150 new homes to build, workforce wellbeing and staff retention were key to help ensure the project was finished as quickly and efficiently as possible.

The CHALLENGES

With seven high-rise residential blocks to deliver and hundreds of staff on site, John Sisk needed a whole host of facilities to ensure a happy and retained workforce
As a busy building site, it was imperative that all health and safety precautions and regulations were met
Speed of delivery was also key to allow John Sisk to fulfil their brief and schedule – offsite construction meant that groundworks could be prepared in tandem, allowing work to begin as soon as possible.

The solution

Our experienced project team installed the four-storey, 2,710m² build in under six days, with just a further six weeks to finalise the fit out. 12m clear span and 2.7m ceiling heights meant that facilities felt open and airy, creating a comfortable and versatile work space.

The building included two external staircases, an internal staircase and a platform lift for easy access. Changing rooms, drying rooms, first aid facilities, an induction room, office space, a canteen area with a commercial kitchen, meeting rooms and toilet facilities created the best conditions for construction staff.

RESULTS

The rapid turnaround of the project enabled John Sisk to get their teams on site and begin construction immediately so they could deliver the project on time. To provide added value for both project management and marketing, we provided a viewing deck on the roof of the building to allow for a fantastic view of the site, enabling management to oversee the project from afar.
