In today’s educational landscape, inclusivity isn’t just a goal, it’s a necessity. At Premier Modular, we understand that every learner is unique, and our offsite construction solutions are tailored to create environments where all students can thrive.
Recent data highlights the increasing demand for inclusive educational environments, with 18.4% of children in England having some form of special educational need, an increase from 2023 figures. More than ever, there’s a need for adaptable, inclusive learning environments that cater to diverse student needs.
Modular offers several advantages in creating learning facilities. Offsite construction minimises daily disruption to students, speeding up build timelines by up to 50% to reduce time on site. As routine is often extremely important to SEND children, impact on students is a priority. Modular can also be tailored to meet specific requirements, including accessibility features and specialised learning areas to reflect the needs of students
A therapeutic environment
Brambles School, in Middlesbrough, required a temporary yet high quality facility for students with SEND. In just eight weeks, we delivered a purpose build therapeutic environment featuring dedicated sensory areas, bespoke toilet facilities and landscaped outdoor spaces with a canopy covered play area.
Using modular construction, we provided a specialised environment to support diverse learning needs in a short timeframe.

Supporting SEN needs
Uffculme School in Birmingham needed a temporary space that felt permanent and catered to students with SEND. We provided an eight-module building that included welfare rooms, breakout rooms for students who need a quiet space, classrooms and toilets.
In just 11 weeks, this facility ensured minimal disruption and provided a safe, welcoming environment for students using the space.

Designing for diverse needs
Inclusive design goes beyond accessibility, it’s about creating spaces that cater to a wide range of physical, sensory and cognitive needs. Our approach ensures that educational facilities are adaptable, supporting and suit learning for every student.
Our modular buildings are designed to seamlessly integrate into existing school environments, both functionally and aesthetically. This ensures that new additions feel like a natural extension of the school’s infrastructure, maintaining a cohesive learning environment.
As the number of students with special educational needs continues to rise, the demand for inclusive, adaptable learning environments becomes increasingly critical. We’re committed to delivering high-quality, modular educational spaces that meet these evolving needs, ensuring that every learner has the opportunity to succeed.
