A bespoke, hybrid approach was needed to meet the demands of Leeds City Council and to allow for the development of one of the city’s first ever through schools. With an urgent requirement for their new primary campus, we were appointed to tackle this complex and challenging scheme to expand Roundhay School quickly and efficiently.
Ensuring the client could access new facilities as soon as possible, Roundhay Primary was developed and delivered within 37 weeks.
Since the build, the school has been able to provide education for a range of students, from ages 4 to 18. This innovative new way of learning gives the students chance to explore a wider range of facilities and presents both students and teachers access to greater opportunities and development.
With differing levels of terrain throughout the site, we used innovative design and were able to combine a mixture of building methods to create a completely bespoke package that worked best for the school.
Offsite construction allowed for the speedy delivery of the project, enabling us to build on the existing campus with minimum disruption, meaning the school could be opened as soon as possible. The size and nature of the school now means that pupils will be offered security and support throughout the whole of their academic lives.
