HR officer – L&D focus

14/07/26 HR Location: Brandesburton Reports to: HR Manager

Purpose:

  • To support the HR function within the business specifically focusing on the implementation and upkeep of the training activity within the business both proactive and reactive
  • Support the wider HR team with operational support on business-as-usual tasks

Experience, Qualifications & Training:

  • CIPD level 3
  • GCSE – 5 A-C’s
  • Demonstratable experience within a HR environment
  • Operational training or L & D experience/exposure

 

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Support HR Manager with all training activity for the business including Annual training plans, reactive training elements and departmental training activity
  • Co-ordinate all training academy activities, supervisor meetings and apprenticeship requirements
  • Support with Generalist HR activities & projects
  • Update & Control training diary for the business
  • Complete both hourly and Salaried new starter inductions
  • Schedule H & S, IT & HR inductions for new starters
  • Manage all logistics of onsite/offsite training sessions including room bookings/transport bookings/lunches
  • Log all training certificates against internal systems and training matrixes including main ERP system
  • Book all relevant training courses and help build training PSL
  • Apply for and manage CITB levy and Apprenticeship levy.
  • Collate data on training and relevant funding and update associated reports
  • Send out notifications of training expiry to relevant stakeholders
  • Liaise with Apprenticeship providers on attendance and performance feedback of apprentices.
  • Manage the apprenticeship levy and ensure all details are up to date & all funding is applied for
  • Create a training supplier database and ensure all training providers are correctly onboarded.
  • Raise training PO’s and additional HR invoicing
  • Create interview guidelines around competencies for roles driven by training
  • Support day to day operational HR activities including support around disciplinaries, employee relations, recruitment & selection & HR administration
  • Ensure reporting of key HR & training metrics are completed to support HR reporting & Bids & Tenders
  • Develop alongside marketing a positive, good news communications plan on the successes of Premier Modular training/academy/apprenticeships
  • Manage training providers performance through feedback/cost control.
  • Manage and administer the company performance contract system with regular updates and development of performance contracts for the full business
  • Control the Ihasco online training platform usage and certificates
  • Develop and support any training or L&D project as and when they arise.
