Designer

Purpose:

To detail and produce the construction/design deliverables to meet the manufacturing and construction requirements and to the planned deadlines.

Experience, Qualifications & Person Spec:

• Relevant qualifications – HNC in Manufacturing and/or Engineering or similar
• 3+ Years of modular experience
• AutoCAD experience
• Revit experience essential
• Strong written and spoken English
• Team player but also able to work on own initiative
• Strong self-management skills to ensure timely issue of project deliverables

Principle Accountabilities

The list is non-exhaustive:

• Interpret architects drawings and ideas into comprehensive working construction and manufacturing drawings
• To work with cost parameters of the estimate & where possible use innovative design to reduce cost.
• To ensure delivery of design functions are in line with planned manufacture and construction schedules.
• Timely and planned production of detailed drawings and specification
• Control of amendments to design
• To liaise with Structural Engineer interpreting and responding to manufacturing queries, incorporating relevant feedback into the design process
• To liaise with production managers and sub-contractors interpreting and responding to manufacturing queries, incorporating relevant feedback into the design process
• To work in accordance with IBS EN SO 9001 procedures
• To contribute, or otherwise assist, as required by the Project Design Manager on the assigned project.
