Sustainability and Caring for the Environment: At Premier Modular Limited we recognise that our activities result in both a direct and indirect impact on the environment. We are committed to minimising the impact of our operations on the environment by means of Continuous Improvement in Environmental Performance by the effective implementation of our ISO1400:2004 Environmental Management Systems wherever we conduct our operations. All waste from our factory is recycled or composted and our products have a low environmental impact and far exceed current Environmental Performance Requirements for energy conservation and emissions.
Community: We recognise the importance of preserving local traditions by supporting local businesses wherever possible and adopting a responsible approach to the impact of our business on the community around us.
Premier is also committed to supporting charities and initiatives – both regionally and nationally – and the Waco International Group as a whole is committed to supporting the Smile Foundation.
Premier is proud to have supported A Moth for Amy – part of the 2016 Amy Johnson Festival commemorating the life, achievements and legacy of the Hull born aviator Amy Johnson on the 75th anniversary of her death.
People: We aim to provide a safe and fulfilling work environment; promoting teamwork coupled with the sharing of best practice to allow individuals to excel, be respected, valued and able to develop within the business. Premier operates a strong health and safety leadership that enforces a zero tolerance attitude to non-compliance that ensures health, safety and welfare are not compromised.
WHISTLE BLOWING: Waco International, of which Premier Modular is a subsidiary, recognises its obligation to its employees to maintain the highest ethical standards. Sometimes, however, employees are placed in vulnerable positions where they become aware of illegal activities or behaviour which is not in keeping with our values at Waco.
To assist employees, the Waco Group of Companies has appointed an independent organisation, Whistle Blowers (Pty) Ltd, to provide an anonymous way for employees to confidentially report activities that may represent improper conduct or violations of Waco’s policies.
The Waco Group will not tolerate any retaliatory actions against any employee for making a good faith report about potential misconduct.
THE MODERN SLAVERY ACT 2015: Premier Modular Ltd strictly prohibits the use of modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chain. Premier Modular is committed to social responsibility and has zero tolerance for slavery and human trafficking. As part of this commitment, we comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and prohibit the use of forced, bonded (including debt bondage) or indentured labour, involuntary prison labour, slavery or trafficking of persons. Furthermore we hold our supply chain accountable in line with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and consider each supplier’s conduct when awarding and/or renewing business with the supplier.

The performance management process starts with managers and employees jointly agreeing performance objectives for the year and then developing a balanced scorecard.

Premier Modular strives to be the best at what it does. The Waco International Group of Companies has a number of local and global peer groups to identify areas of excellence (internal and external) and to transfer these practices throughout the Group.
