To provide a professional, proactive, focussed business administration service to the functions of quality, health, safety, environment, social and governance, enabling the department to meet their obligations in supporting the business and driving improvement across our range of operations.

Experience, Qualifications & Training:


  • Commit to completing the Level 2 Apprenticeship qualification in Business Administration
  • Ability to follow instruction and to provide focussed support services to the department
  • Ability to work flexibly, meeting deadlines whilst understanding the needs, timescales and deadlines of others
  • A positive attitude towards teamwork and being able to work well within a team and with others
  • Ability to maintain a high standard of reliability and time-keeping


  • 4 x GCSE, which include Maths & English at grade C or above
  • Conversant with Microsoft 365, namely MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint & Visio

Principle accountabilities:

  • Provide a professional, proactive, focussed business administration service to the department, enabling it to meet the obligations to the business
  • Undertake a range of general administration duties supporting HSE, Quality & ESG service team
  • Learn about business administration and the processes that support the business, establishing audits to ensure those processes are followed, and audits completed according to plan
  • Enter and retrieve data according to approved processes and within agreed timescales and quality standards
  • Ensure that the department have the necessary documentation (including plans, processes, policy documents, equipment)
  • Arrange and prepare for meetings including the preparation of agendas and the taking and producing (for publication) notes/minutes of the meeting; developing typing and minute taking skills to perform these tasks to an agreed standard
  • Communicate on HSE and ESG matters within the department and to appropriate management
  • Assist in the development and control of all documentation produced by the HSE department, including ESG and QHSE procedures and systems, ensuring the integrated management framework for the ‘Group’ adheres to best practice, standards
  • Support the HSE Department in the production and dissemination of an annual HSE plan, so that best practice is consistently applied across the ‘Group’’
  • Assist in auditing compliance to HS&E requirements, both within the ‘Group’, its suppliers and subcontractors, and track progress on actions arising, to ensure that procedure and systems are applied consistently across the organisational remit
  • Provide information for management reports covering ESG and HS&E related activities and incidents, so that senior management, the employee H&S committee and others have clear visibility of performance and trends
  • Support and assist in creation of incident investigation documentation (within the areas of responsibility) so that the integrity and completeness of the investigation and actions arising are assured
