Local primary schools have been encouraging 5 – 11 year old students to take part in the national ‘Fiver-Challenge’. This is an interactive way of introducing financial numeracy and teamwork amongst the children. The young entrepreneurs are given one month to create a business idea and raise as much profit as they can to be donated to their school's chosen charity.

To our delight the Premier Modular team where treated to a variety of cakes in the office last week which were kindly brought in by Head of UK Operations, Dan Allison. The collection included flapjack, chocolate tray bake and lemon cake which where baked by Dan’s 11 year old daughter (with a little help from his wife) as part of the ‘Fiver-Challenge’.

The chosen charity for the school is the Red Cross Emergency Fund (One Love Manchester) after the Ariana Grande bombing incident back in May. This is a particularly personal cause for Dan’s family as his wife and daughter were at the concert when the Manchester tragedy took place.

We are delighted to announce that a total of over £200 was raised for the worthy cause and we would like to thank everybody who took part in the fundraiser, with an extra special thanks to Dan’s daughter for the delicious cakes - a job well done!
