We were pleased to see how our donation of timber to a local school has been put to good use.
Phil Wicks, one of our Production Supervisors, co-ordinated our response to a request from Brandesburton Primary School to help Year 5 pupils who had been tasked to grow and sell their own vegetables.
The timber was needed to create raised beds, planters and trellis for their plants.
Phil even appeared on a conference call with the children and was quizzed about how we use our wood and where it comes from.
According to the head teacher, Mrs Ledingham, “Without the support of our local community, we could not achieve all that we do. The children have been so enthusiastic about this project from start to finish.”
