Our Moth has landed at Premier Modular…

As the Amy Johnson Festival comes to a close, many people are rushing out to catch a last glimpse of Hull’s Moth Trail before the unique works of art are auctioned off and flutter away to new homes, but our Moth, Over and Above Expectations is now in its new home here with us at Premier Modular Limited, in Brandesburton, and we have to say it looks fab placed above the reception entrance on our Modular offices, making a great impact on visitors to premier and also keeping a few people talking about the amazing art project completed by the Amy Johnson Festival.

Eugenio De Sa - Managing Director at Premier said “he was pleased with his investment, It’s a great part of Hull’s heritage and culture and we’re proud to say that we’re involved.

We would like to thank the Artist: Angie Hardwick, Ceramic Artist for her creative work and sovereign signs for quickly de-installing and re-installing and of course the Amy Johnson Festival for honouring one of the most inspiring women of the Twentieth Century.

About the Design:

The artist’s long-held personal ambition to emigrate to Australia inspired this design, featuring recognisable features from both countries. Iconic, graphic-like buildings with a limited pallet have been used, chosen from the colours in both flags. Amy’s flight path can be seen over the moth, represented in 3D models of planes decorated with their corresponding flag. The body of the moth is black to represent the struggle of flying in darkness, with the elements standing out against the sky.

If you would like to come and see the Moth here at Premier Modular please feel free to come. Premier Modular Limited, Catfoss Lane, Brandesburton, East Yorkshire, YO25 8EJ

Amy Johnson Festival has been shortlisted in the Tourism Event category of the Real East Yorkshire Tourism Awards (REYTAs).
