1st phase installation of MOD Army Barracks in Staffordshire well on it
Premier interlink (Waco UK Ltd) is showing excellent progress in installing the 1st phase of modules at the MOD Beacon Barracks, despite adverse weather conditions.
The project, set to house 400 soldiers upon their return home from Germany, is well on target for completion by the end of the year.
The installation of the 6 modular buildings, which began early August, has seen the installation of the ground, first floor and several second floor modules.
Premier Interlink designed an innovative lifting frame and carousel to aid installation of the modules. The device offers ultimate flexibility, as it can be easily adapted to suit numerous module sizes. The safety carousel sits on top of the modules with the lifting frame and equipment carrying out the main lift. Safety access gates enable operatives to access the module roof to carry out key activities without the need to be reliant on safety harnesses at all times. We believe this has set an industry-leading standard!
