Handover ceremony at Mission Grove Primary school sees the planting of a time capsule celebrating the new Year 6 modular building manufactured by Premier Interlink (Waco UK Ltd).

Mission Grove Primary School celebrated its handover ceremony on March 31st 2014.

To mark the notable occasion, which took place at the Primary School, a time capsule was planted to celebrate the new Year 6 building and honour the generations of past, present and future Mission Grove pupils. The time capsule contained letters from the school pupils explaining what their present school days were like, newspapers of the day and information on the building from Mansell the Main Contractor.

The stone to commemorate the time capsule was laid in the Primary school grounds by Waltham Forest Councillor Clare Coghill.

Premier Interlink were appointed by Waltham Forest in conjunction with Mansell Construction to provide further classrooms to expand the school from a 3FE to 4FE, thus increasing their intake capacity by 5 classrooms and by 150 children.

The project was achieved through the demolition of an existing building to create space for a new two storey teaching block with an external teaching/play area at 1st floor level.
