Bruce Short, Finance Director for the Waco Kwikform Group, joined forces with Forster Breckenridge, Lembit Willems and Ryan Short to form the “Sub 30” group intent on tackling the Sydney challenge.
The team have had mixed experiences of this challenge, with Lembit being the team veteran – having completed the challenge an amazing 10 times.
The team managed to finish the challenge in a remarkable 34 hours and 22 minutes and have so far managed to raise more than A$5,500 – an impressive amount and well deserved for such an impressive challenge.
The challenge is for teams of 4 and 75% of the 670 teams entered into this year’s challenge lost one or more members along the way due to injury or exhaustion – which makes Sub 30’s achievement even more outstanding.
The teams have raised an average of A$4,300 each, and so far the overall amount raised for the event as a whole is an astonishing A$2.9m. Bruce’s team was sponsored by companies within the Waco International Group of Companies, including a very generous A$2000 by Waco International itself.
