Working in the Marketing Department at Premier Modular Limited for the last 6 years - one of my many roles has been updating the company website with case studies, news items, blogs and images, among other things.
To my surprise earlier this year I was briefed with a project to research website developers who could see Premier Modular Limited with a fresh approach and design a new website for us. Admittedly I was a little bit shy of the idea of re-doing our entire website at first because I knew what a large undertaking it would be, however I have always liked a challenge. I sent a brief out to three companies who later presented to us, we then selected the company who had researched our business and understood what we needed the most to move forward in a competitive environment and stand out from the rest.
We worked to a deadline of 12 weeks, which I wondered if we could meet as I knew the amount of work involved, but ultimately we were successful. I worked closely with Daniel, Digital Marketing Consultant at Blue Storm Design, http://bluestormdesign.co.uk/about/our-team/daniel-murphy and we started from scratch throwing emails back and forth with ideas to build a new modern website with the visual impact we wanted. The goal for the new website was to make it more user-friendly and visual, easier to navigate and easier for us to manage and update.
After 12 weeks of hard work we are very excited to finally launch our new website design. It has been an adventure to completely re-design, re-create, and move everything and everyone over to a new website. In the process, I have learnt a lot about website design and Premier Modular Limited itself as I have revisited areas of the company and projects that have been completed over the years and now see them in a new light. Hopefully, the website reflects this, as it has been a fantastic project and a huge learning experience. I feel I have achieved a goal for now but the website will always be a base for more development in the future as the business grows.
