Premier Interlink are working in conjunction with Sir Robert McAlpine as its preferred Modular partner and supported them in the bid process for the Clarence Street project which includes a 206 bedroom student accommodation block.
To allow for further accommodation for the higher student admission rate at Northumbria University we are to provide a 5 storey building situated close to the city centre in Newcastle Upon-Tyne. The building will compromise a mixture of 54 studio flats, 150 en-suite bedrooms and 2 accessible en-suite rooms with associated plant rooms, cycle storage and landscaping to the exterior.
Expansion for the project will include the demolition of an existing industrial building on Clarence Street to make space for the 5 storey modular construction. Design development is due to commence in-house at Premier Interlink in July 2014 with a prototype set to finish the first element of the project scheme by the end of September.
In total the project will see Premier Interlink manufacture a mixture of 284 steel framed modules starting factory production in October 2014.
