Premier Interlink (Waco UK Ltd) have announced the launch of a new volumetric house design.
The 1,2 and 3 bedroom homes are targeted towards the affordable housing market and will be ‘Lifetime Homes’ compliant and certified with LABC and CML insurance partners for the purpose of 10 year warranty.
The recent Government report on fuel poverty (Dept. of Energy & Climate Change – Annual Poverty Statistics Report 2014) has lead the design team to focus on producing Code 4 homes with a total annual energy bill of less than £200PA achieved through a ‘Fabric First’ approach and minimum use of renewables.
The target construction price per unit is expected to be comparable with traditional build cost whilst simultaneously reducing the construction time on site by at least 50%.
The first demonstrator house is due to be launched at a national conference to be held in Yorkshire in the 3rd quarter of this year.
Interested parties are being encouraged to register early for this event as space will be limited.
